Job Description

Job Summary: Finnegan Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a talented Auto Body Technician to join our team in Rosenberg, Texas. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for performing high quality collision repairs, including body work, frame repairs, and vehicle paint work on various makes and models of vehicles. This is a full-time, individual contributor role in the auto industry, and you will be a key member of our team. Responsibilities:

  • Perform all assigned repair and maintenance work to restore damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition
  • Inspect, identify, and repair any structural or cosmetic damage on vehicles
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed
  • Utilize various tools and equipment to perform body and frame repairs
  • Prepare and paint vehicles to match original factory finish
  • Document all repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle
  • Communicate with service advisors and customers to provide updates on repair progress
  • Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work space
  • Stay current with industry advancements and techniques through training and self-learning
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as an Auto Body Technician
  • Proficient in body repair and painting techniques
  • Knowledge of frame repair and body alignment
  • Basic understanding of automotive systems and parts
  • Ability to read and interpret repair orders and estimates
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Must have own tools and reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug test
