Job Description

Title: Electronics Technician III Job Code: 30008314 Lifion Position Number: 30008314-60014234 Pay: $40-45/hr. Shift: Rotational + 6am-3pm + 8am-5pm + 2pm-11pm + 10pm-7am Electronics Technician III This position, under limited supervision, is responsible for performing more complex design and fabrication of electronic equipment including maintenance and trouble-shooting of electrical and electronic systems used in the plant. Responsibilities: + Performs PMs, installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting on electrical and electronics equipment, as assigned, inspections and verifications on all control components. + Performs and safely works with troubleshoot systems at varying voltages (voltage electrical systems including 110V, 220V, and 480V) in accordance with electrical codes and safety procedures and tests final assemblies. + Constructs discrete or integrated electronic circuits. Calculates resistance, loads, currents and component sizes appropriate to the application. + Calibrates instruments to control or record accurately. Replaces, repairs and adjusts accompanying equipment to perform as designed. + Modifies and writes logic control programs; skilled in the diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, electronical and similar problems and apply appropriate corrective action. + Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance on, or install plant equipment. + Performs frequency drives, writes drive logic in PLC code, creates HMI applications uploads and downloads PLC programs and HMI applications, programs ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment, integrates new processes into equipment, sets up network communications and sets up advanced routing of Ethernet protocols. + Trains maintenance employees in keeping all equipment working efficiently and regularly serviced. Preferred Qualifications: Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience. Years of Related Experience: 7+ years of related experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: + Advanced Electrical and Maintenance knowledge/experience required along with basic Fabrication experience + Must be able to design electrical and electronic assemblies, draw and read electrical schematics + Must have skills sufficient to design and implant control circuits utilizing PLCs, HMI, VFDs and Servos + Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop/PLC and HMI programming software such as Allen Bradley, Square D, Siemens, Omron and SAP Maintenance Module + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals + Ability to complete work orders, carryout instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form, and complete required paperwork + Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume + Electrical knowledge and ability to expand knowledge and skills via on-the-job and formal training directed at increasing job-related skills as mandated by management, including all required OSHA training + Good problem-solving skills + Ability to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules, USDA and regulations + Ability to obtain a valid forklift license; Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the job.
